What are road markings?
Road markings (horizontal signage) are all markings on road and floor surfaces: longitudinal lines, pedestrian crossings, arrows, lettering, parking bays and safety zones. They show drivers and pedestrians where to go, where to stop and where to take care.
Since 2020, VK Mobility has delivered road markings for cities, companies, retail centres, logistics centres and private investors. We work by machine or by hand — depending on the surface, the type of marking and site conditions — and everything follows the Croatian Rulebook on traffic signs, signalling and road equipment (NN 92/19).

Materials
We choose the material based on traffic load, surface and the required lifespan of the marking.
- Single-component fast-drying synthetic resin paint — for most roads and parking lots.
- Cold plastic — a thicker, more durable layer for heavy-traffic areas and long-lasting markings.
- Glass beads — spread onto the fresh marking to reflect headlights, so the marking is visible at night.
Machine and hand application
Long lines and large areas are applied by machine — fast and uniform. Lettering, symbols, arrows and details are done by hand with stencils. We combine both depending on the project.

All markings follow the Croatian Rulebook on traffic signs, signalling and road equipment (NN 92/19) — dimensions, colours and layout comply with the regulations.

Questions and answers
How much does parking lot marking cost?
The price depends on the type and amount of work — number of bays, area, material and surface condition. The site visit and quote are free, so you get an exact price after we see the site.
Which is better — paint or cold plastic?
Paint works well for most parking lots and roads. Cold plastic forms a thicker, more durable layer, so it is used in heavy-traffic areas and where the marking needs to last longer. We recommend the right option after visiting the site.
Why are some markings visible at night?
Glass beads are spread onto the fresh marking and reflect headlight beams back towards the driver (retroreflection).
Can you remove existing markings?
Yes. We remove old markings by milling or grinding, then apply new ones to match the new traffic layout.
Do you work outside Zagreb?
Yes. We are based in Zagreb and work throughout Croatia.
